Production duo, Dirty Dubsters are DJ’s Jay Sharpe & Bazza Ranks aka Jason Rymer & Barry O Brien, purveyors of reggae inspired bass music and culture.

In a chance meeting in Dublin back in 2005 at POD nightclub. Australian born Jason, was peddling mixtapes of breaks and beats and got chatting to Barry who was handing out flyers for the Irish Capitals club nights. Sparked by their passion for music, it was very soon after that, the DJ’s linked up and began making music as a duo.

Seizing opportunity, in 2011 they formed Irish Moss Records, Ireland’s first label dedicated to contemporary Reggae and Bass Music. The ambitious endeavour spawned a movement and has since welcomed a number of collaborations with artists from around the globe including Topcat, Kenny Ken, DJ Vadim, Fort Knox Five, Parly B, LionDub, Marcus Visionary and Zion Train to mention only a selection of their lengthy discography.

In a follow up to debut album “Fire It up” (2013) featuring Burro Banton, Danny Red and UK Hip Hop hero Mystro among others. October 2015 welcomed sophomore long player and latest release “Special Request” Show-casing fifteen collaborations, including tracks with Soom T, Daddy Freddy, Mr. Williamz and Demolition Man to name just a few.

No rest for the wicked!…In the two years between their feature length albums the co founders of Irish Moss Records Label and Rub A Dublin Reggae Festival have toured extensively across Europe, Canada, Ireland and the U.K at many club nights with appearances at both major and independent festivals including Electric Picnic (IRE) Boomtown (UK) Shambala (CA) Uprising Reggae Festival (RO) & curated Main stage shows for Life Festival (IRE)

When not on the road, the relentless work schedule continues in the studio with the duo producing a wealth of remixes and EP’s for various artists and establishing their own one day festival “Rub A Dublin, inviting International artists Sir David Rodigan (MBE), General Levy, Trojan Sound system, Radikal Guru and Capitol 1212 to perform alongside Irish Reggae artist Cian Finn & many, many more.

As solo artists, each has their own style. Barry, now based in London composes House & Garage tracks under the moniker “Flow State” while Jay works on Funk Breaks in “Soul Fusion”. Collectively the pair create a unique blend of Hip Hop, Jungle and party breaks all underpinned by heavy bass and Reggae inspired rhythms. Regular club nights include a monthly link up with Rompas Reggae in East London’s, Concrete, Shoreditch.
